SUNSHINE FINALLY RETURNS FOR A BEAUTIFUL FALL DAY…

After an extended stretch of cloudy skies, sunshine has
finally returned today, though an elevated smoke layer has
filtered it somewhat.

Temperatures are still relatively cool for this time of year,
dropping into the mid 40s overnight. It has only rebounded to
the low 60s this afternoon, giving a taste of fall. The dew
point has remained comfortable throughout the day, but has
risen from the upper 40s this morning to the low 50s this
afternoon.

The wind has lightened compared to yesterday, with an
average of just 10mph. The peak gust today was around 18mph
just after noon time. As for direction, the wind was coming
from the north overnight, but shifted to the east-northeast
by late morning.

Visibility has remained relatively steady, beginning the day at
30 miles, and only improving to 40 miles.

The maximum temperature so far today has been 63F, which is
5 degrees below the normal high of 68F. The minimum temperature
since midnight is 46F, which is 5 degrees below the normal low
of 51F.
