HURRICANE LEE BROUGHT SOME WIND, WITH LOWER THAN EXPECTED RAINFALL….
The air thankfully kept its crispness despite Hurricane Lee passing
us by. Temperatures dropped into the low to mid 50s this morning
with a dew point that rose into the lower 50’s. Is it bold to say
that this is the official beginning to Fall?
We measured a grand total of 0.20 inches of rainfall, which is relatively
little compared to the events earlier this week.
The wind has been very busy today averaging at around 20mph. Frequent
gusts over 30 mph have been occurring this afternoon with a peak
so far of around 40 mph.
Visibility has been good at 70 miles this afternoon, starting from a
foggy 10 miles this morning.
The maximum temperature so far today has been 65F, which is
8 degrees below to the normal high of 73F. The minimum temperature
since midnight is 54F, which is 2 degrees below the normal low
of 56F.
