HAZY, HOT, AND HUMID UNDER A MIX OF SUN AND CLOUDS….

Dense fog was observed early this morning, but it quickly burned
off prior to the 7am observation. Triple H (not the wrestler)
weather has arrived here on the Hill today under a mix of sun
and clouds.

Temperatures jumped up rapidly this morning after an overnight
low of only 69F degrees. It was already 75F by 7am, 86F by 10am,
and 92F by 1pm. Today marks only the 2nd time so far this year
that the mercury has reached the 90F degree mark. With a dew-
point in the low 70s, it’s rather oppressive out there today as
the heat index approaches 100F!

The wind has been light for most of the day with an average speed
of only about 7mph. The highest gust so far has only been around
17mph.

Visibility has been limited today due to fog early, and then just
general haziness the remainder of the day. Views of 10-15 miles
has been the theme all day after the fog burned off.

The maximum temperature so far today is 92F, this is 11 degrees
above the normal high of 81F. The minimum since midnight is 69F,
which is 6 degrees above the normal low of 63F.
