STILL CHILLY, BUT DECREASING WIND UNDER PLENTY OF SUNSHINE….
A splendid day in terms of clear sky today. Only noted some
stratocumulus clouds off over the ocean and a few well to
the west-northwest across western MA and SW NH. Despite the
abundance of sunshine, the temperature remains on the chilly
side with the mercury only reaching the upper 30s once again.
However, unlike the last couple of days, the wind was less
of a factor, especially as we worked into the afternoon hours.
The average wind speed for the day so far is around 14mph.
Visibility has been good to excellent all day starting the
day at 60 miles, but increased rapidly to 80 miles by mid
morning.
The high so far today is 38F, which is 1 degree below the
normal maximum of 39F. The low since midnight is 25F, which
is 1 degree above the normal minimum of 24F.
