CLOUDY AND COOL WITH LIGHT RAIN BEGINNING THIS AFTERNOON….
Cloudy skies have been the theme today with a gradually
increasing onshore breeze. Some light rain began falling
just after the 1 P.M. observation and it’s expected to
continue through tonight and into tomorrow.
Temperatures are being held in the mid 50s today thanks to
the clouds and wind off the ocean. A definite chill on the
system after yesterday’s mild weather with readings into
the upper 60s!
As mentioned, the wind has been gradually increasing as the
day has gone along. A northeast to east-northeast wind was
blowing at generally around 5-10mph this morning, but has
increased to 10-15mph this afternoon.
Visibility started the day decent with 60 miles being seen
above the inversion, however it has lowered as the air has
moistened up. We could only see 40 miles maximum at the
1 P.M. observation with only 20 miles seen to the SE-SSW
as the rain was approaching.
The high so far today is 57F, which is 1 degree below the
normal maximum of 58F. The low since midnight is 52F, which
is 11 degrees above the normal low of 41F.
