COOL AND DRY WITH A LIGHT NORTHERLY BREEZE….

Today was cooler with a great visibility of 85 miles.
Wind was on the lighter side, with north being the
main component. Dew points dropped into the low 50’s
as the observing day went on. A definite contrast to
the humidity of yesterday!

Most of the Boston Area is in an extreme drought, according to
the newly updated drought monitor. Total rain deficit on the
year is 10.56 inches.

This summer was the first time on record of having two separate heat
waves of six days or longer in a single year.
