MILTON, MASSACHUSETTS
ELEVATION 635 FEET, 10 MILES SSW OF BOSTON, MA
SUNDAY, JULY 17, 2022
ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME (EST)

WARM WITH SOME AFTERNOON THUNDERSTORMS TO THE EAST AND
SOUTH…
We observed limited visibility with 3 miles in fog being
seen at the 7 A.M. observation. Weather conditions remained
hot and hazy, with dew points only making it to the low
60’s as the day went on.
One exciting feature of the day were some pop-up thunderstorms
to the south and east of the observatory, which has been the
usual this summer. The summit is missing more than 8 inches
of rainfall on the year and 1.25 inches lower than normal
on the month. We are heading toward severe drought status!
The high so far today is 89F, which is 7 degrees above the
normal maximum of 82F. The low since midnight is 65F, which
is 1 degree above the normal minimum of 64F.
