BRIGHT SUNSHINE, LIGHT WINDS…A TERRIFIC WINTER’S DAY:
A gorgeous day is unfolding atop the hill. After some
flurries and a cold northwesterly wind yesterday, high
pressure took authority overnight allowing winds to ease.
As such, the mercury bottomed out at 10F this morning! Since
then, the air has moderated, and brilliant sunshine is being
enjoyed. Visibility is an excellent 80 miles extending into
southwestern New Hampshire.
Snow depth remains at 3″, though recent guidance suggests it
will likely be eaten up entirely by the end of the weekend
as warm temperatures and dew points in the 50s appear poised
to enter the region on Sunday.
The high so far today is 30F, 11 degrees below the normal
maximum of 41F. The low since midnight is 10F, which is 13
degrees below the normal minimum of 23F.
