LIGHT TO MODERATE RAINFALL OVERNIGHT AMOUNTS TO ONE HALF INCH…
DENSE FOG EARLY THIS MORNING LIFTS TO LOW CLOUDS WITH
OCCASIONAL BREAKS THIS AFTERNOON…

Rain showers Friday evening turned into a steadier rain during
the night with the heaviest falling in a downpour just after
2 AM EST today that brought about 0.15 inch in 20 minutes.
By 7 AM EST, the rain had ended, but the summit was shrouded
in dense fog.  This lifted within a few hours, and low clouds
have dominated the sky since then.  Occasionall breaks in
the clouds have brought a few minutes of sunshine.  The
visibility has climbed from 1/16 mile early today to 70 miles
as of early afternoon.  The wind has picked up throughout the
day with a peak gust so far of 35 mph from the WNW occurring
at 1:32 PM EST.
