BRIEF ISOLATED THUNDERSTORM PASSES JUST TO OUR SOUTH EARLY TODAY
YET ANOTHER COOL DAY FOR MID-AUGUST WITH HIGHS IN 70’S
A small fast moving thunderstorm moved across the area this morning with
0.09 rainfall here at the summit and generally depositing less than a quarter
inch of rain. The storm moved offshore by dawn.
Considerable cumulus cloudiness formed today as we continue
in an unseasonably cool air mass for mid-August. The high
temperatures have been in the low to middle 70s.

scattered altocumulus castellanus, thin overcast cirrus, stratus drifting over summit
obscuring 3/10 of sky, conditions rapidly variable, few altocumulus castellanus SE-S,
