SLIGHT MODERATION IN TEMPERATURE TODAY,
THOUGH SUN AND DRY CONDITIONS PERSIST

A strong inversion was in place for the second
morning in a row today, capping a smokey and hazy
layer of air approximately 100 feet below the summit.
Conditions at Norwood Memorial Airport allowed for an
overnight low of 47F, while the summit of Great Blue
Hill saw 58F.

Another day without rainfall yesterday has dropped
our station’s monthly deficit to -1.24 inches. With little
change expected in the pattern through the rest of the
month, August could end in a significantly dry way.
