COOL TEMPERATURES PREVAIL WITH FOG LINGERING INTO
THIS MORNING…
TEMPERATURES STRUGGLE TO REACH 71F DEGREES TODAY
Yesterday’s maximum of 71F fell 3 degrees short of the daily
maximum norm, thanks in part to increased cloud cover
throughout the day, and a brisk NE-E wind.
No precipitation was recorded once again, increasing the
monthly deficit to -1.06 inches and allowing the annual
deficit to approach -5 inches. The total precipitation since
August 14 of 0.30 inch represents about 9 percent of the normal
rainfall over that 27 day period.
Temperatures struggled up to 71F at 1 P.M. EDT early this afternoon.
The month has had 79 percent of the possible bright sunshine during
the first nine days.
