CRISP AND CRYSTAL CLEAR MORNING TO START THE FIRST DAY OF FALL

After recording a daytime maximum of 72F yesterday mid
day, the mercury began to fall through the night to an
overnight low of 44F. Dew points in the upper 30s along
with clear skies allowed for impressive visibilities of
nearly 90 miles, the station maximum, at the 7:00 AM EST
observation.

Another day without rain yesterday has increased the precipitation
deficit to -2.62 inches below the norm for the month of September,
and -6.46 inches for the year. The month of September is likely
to fall well below normal for rainfall.
