DRY AND SEASONABLE TEMPERATURES TAKE HOLD
IN SOUTHERN NEW ENGLAND

Yesterday’s maximum temperature of 83F, reached around
2:30 PM EST, was just three degrees above the daily normal
maximum of 80F. Clear and normal temperatures in the lower 60s
allowed for comfortable viewing of this morning’s perseid meteor
showers. This morning’s minimum was 62F.

Excellent visibility has been reported this morning at
80 miles in all directions without any visible haze
or particulate matter. By the 1:00 PM EST observation cumulus
were scattered with scattered cirrus in the distance offshore.
A maximum temperature 80F was recorded with visibility of
80 miles still present.
