MILTON, MASSACHUSETTS
ELEVATION 635 FEET, 10 MILES SSW OF BOSTON, MA
DAILY DISCUSSION AND CLIMATE SUMMARY
WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 31, 2016
ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME
APPROACHING COLD FRONT LEAVES US WITH OVERCAST SKIES AND A TRACE OF
PRECIPITATION BEFORE THE 1:00PM EST OBSERVATION
Overcast skies were observed at each observation today. Visibility improved to
70 miles, but distant features were still hard to distinguish through the thick
haze. Dew points rose to the mid 60s as pressure continued to drop and the early
week’s high pressure system moved farther offshore. A very light rain fell before
the 1:00PM observation giving us only a trace of precipitation and it made no dent
in our 10 in. deficit for the year.
