CALMER WINDS AND OVERCAST SKIES….

Wind speeds today and yesterday have been much calmer than they
have been recently. Yesterday’s peak gust was only 18 MPH out of
the NNW at 2:31 A.M. EST, which was the first daily peak gust
under 20 MPH for the month of January. So far today, the peak
gust was 19 MPH out of the N at 11:06 A.M. In the sky, there has
been a layer of overcast stratus throughout the day. Visibility
has stayed around 70 miles for most of the area, except it was
only 30 miles from the NNE-S in the morning hours. Temperatures
have warmed up slightly from yesterday. The maximum temperature
yesterday was 25F, and the minimum was 11F. This put yesterday a
total of 7F below the normal average temperature of 25F for this
time of year. The temperature dropped to a low this morning of
20F, and so far today it has climbed to a maximum of 27F. The
air had more moisture than previous days, with relative humidity
staying around 75%. The air pressure has continued to drop today.
