DAILY DISCUSSION AND CLIMATE SUMMARY
WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 18, 2019
ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME
FAIR WEATHER WITH SOME DISTANT SNOW SHOWERS
FOLLOWING LAST NIGHT’S WINTRY MIX….
Snowfall since yesterday morning amounted to an inch
at the 7 A.M. observation, with the majority of
measurable snowfall occurring yesterday morning and
night. Rainfall/ liquid amounts equated to 0.76 inches
since 7 A.M. yesterday. Light snow continued early to
late morning, leaving only a trace between 7 A.M. and
10 A.M. Visibility increased since this morning, where
only 3 miles were seen due to the snow and fog. It reached
a max of 80 miles at 10 A.M., decreasing to the west before
1 P.M. as result of some distant virga. Since then, the
far-off snow showers are approaching at a good clip,
seemingly building in strength along the way.
The high so far today is 33F, which is 5 degrees below the
daily normal maximum of 38F. The low since midnight
is 26F, which is 3 degrees above the normal minimum of 23F.
