ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME
YET ANOTHER STORMY MONDAY; COLD, WET, AND WINDY….
Another start to a week and another stormy day to add
to the many we’ve seen in the month of April. Rain
started falling yesterday afternoon and has continued
through much of today, albeit mainly on the light side.
Some wet snow flakes have mixed in a times this afternoon
as the temperature slowly dips toward the mid 30s.
0.78″ of rain was measured through 7am this morning with
an additional 0.22″ being measured through 1pm. This gives
a storm total through 1pm of exactly 1 inch!
Rainfall for the month ending at 7am this morning stands
at 7.12″, this is more than 3 inches above normal to date.
In addition to the wet conditions, very gusty winds out of
northeast to north-northeast have been occurring since last
evening. We’ve seen several gusts exceeding 50mph during
the period with a peak gust of 54 mph occurring this morning
at 8:03 EST.
We will likely set a new record low max for the date today
as our high temperature so far today is only 39F. The
record was 40F set in 1917.
39F is 21 degrees below our daily normal high temperature of
60F. The low since midnight is 37F, which is 5 degrees below
the daily normal low of 42F.
