A CONTINUATION OF SUMMER….
Today we observed a thin overcast of upper-level
clouds and a decent visibility of 65 miles at the
1 P.M. observation. Wind was light and southwesterly,
only reaching 15 mph so far today. With only one
notable precipitation event this month, we are currently
running at a monthly deficit of a quarter inch, and a
yearly deficit of almost 3 inches.
We did set a temperature record for yesterday, it being
a daily max of 72F. This replaces the old record of 71F,
set in 1959.
The high so far today is 74F, which is 21 degrees above the
daily normal maximum of 53F! The low since midnight is 54F,
which is 18 degrees above the daily normal minimum of 36F.
