WARMER AND HUMID TODAY WITH PLENTY OF SUNSHINE….

After the cool weekend, today has returned to weather
more typical for July. Plenty of sun has been observed
today mixed with some high thin cirrus and a few cumulus
this afternoon. Smoke from the western U.S. wildfires
has overspread the region this afternoon, currently
dimming the sun. An odor of smoke can also be detected
in the air.

A westerly breeze has helped to push the temperatures
into the upper 80s and low 90s across the region. This
west wind has also helped mix out some of the low level
moisture with the dew point dropping from the upper 60s
this morning to the low 60s this afternoon.

The high so far today is 87F, 5 degrees above the daily
normal maximum of 82F. The low so far today is 67F, which
is 3 degrees above the daily normal minimum of 64F.
