BLUE HILL METEOROLOGICAL OBSERVATORY
MILTON, MASSACHUSETTS
ELEVATION 635 FEET, 10 MILES SSW OF BOSTON, MA
THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 11, 2021
ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME
SUNRISE: 0630E
SUNSET: 1628E
SEASONABLE WITH LIGHT WIND AND GREAT VISIBILITY….
We observed a thin overcast for most of the day, mostly
consisting of almost transparent cirrostratus clouds.
Visibility was great at 80 miles, and sunshine was abundant
all day.
Wind was very light and calm at the 10 A.M. observation.
The max gust so far today happened very early this
morning.
Dew points hung around in the mid 20’s, making for a very enjoyable
Veteran’s Day.
November has been a dry month thus far with the first 11 days
not even registering a trace of rain. After the past 4 consecutive
months have had above normal rainfall, this continues to be a rather
nice reprieve.
The current monthly rain deficit is 1.46 inches. That’s fine
considering the annual total is 9.50 inches above normal.
The high so far today is 55F, 3 degrees above the normal max of
52F. The low since midnight is 40F, 5 degrees above the normal low
of 35F.
