Blue Hill Observatory Fall Open House

Saturday October 5th 2013 10:00 am to 4:00 pm

Enjoy browsing the Blue Hill Meteorological Observatory including views from the top of the tower. Displays by Mount Washington Observatory  US National Weather Service Boston MA  and presentations on WPI – Blue Hill Observatory Picture Post Collaboration, The Adventures of Buffalo and Tough Cookie (Books for sale will be signed by the author)  , tornado machine, kite making, tagged balloon releases, WINS (Women in Natural Science) Program at Blue Hill Observatory display, kite flying with Kites Over New England KONE – and other presentations and activities yet to be confirmed.

Free admission to the Observatory and presentations, there are materials fees for the kites and tagged balloon releases. Hike to the top or make arrangements to ride the shuttle van. For more information call 617-696-0562 e-mail dmccasland@bluehill.org
