A FOGGY MORNING WITH INCREASING WIND IN
THE AFTERNOON FOLLOWING YESTERDAY’S
WINTER PRECIPITATION….

Yesterday’s snow and rain left 1.14 inches of
liquid in the gauge, and 2 inches of snow depth
at 7 A.M. Total snowfall is 2.8 inches.
Blue Hill is still 2 feet below normal for
seasonal snowfall.

We observed a significant visibility increase
since this morning, with a thick layer of fog
dissipating shortly before noontime. Wind has
increased throughout the day, and shifted from
north to west. The highest gust seen so far is
32 mph from the west during the 1 P.M. observation.
With the foggy conditions breaking up, humidity has
decreased to about 70%.

The high temperature so far today is 38F, 2 degrees
below our normal maximum temperature of 36F. The low
since midnight was 32F, 13 degrees above our daily
normal low of 19F.
