HOT AND HUMID, BUT BREEZY UNDER MOSTLY SUNNY SKIES TODAY….

Another day today with a mix of sun and clouds, however the
temperature is a bit warmer than yesterday as the mercury
has reached near 90F this afternoon. Unfortunately the
humidity levels have increased some more compared to yesterday.
With the dew point into the low 70s, it feels a bit oppressive
out there today.

The only saving grace is the wind which has been gusty today.
Speeds have been averaging around 14mph for the day thus far,
with frequent gusts to 25-30mph occurring. Those working
outside today are definitely thankful for at least the wind!

Visibility has been limited due to thin fog this morning and
general haziness this afternoon. Values have ranged from 25-35
miles all day.

The summit continues with a monthly rainfall deficit, now reaching
1.68″ below normal, and an annual deficit of 11.19″! Most of the
Boston area remains under extreme drought conditions.

The high so far today is 89F, which is 11 degrees above the normal
maximum of 78F. The low since midnight is 69F, which is 8 degrees
above the normal minimum of 61F.
