HOT WITH LIGHT WIND AND VISIBILITY DECREASING INTO
THE AFTERNOON….

Today started off mostly cloudy with a visibility of almost 60 miles, then
the sky cleared up and visibility dropped to 30 miles with haze.
Conditions are hot with temperatures in the low 90’s, and not too
comfortable with dew points in the low 60’s. Seems like a good beach day!

Wind is lighter in comparison to yesterday with an average speed of
less than 10 mph with some gusts between 15 mph and 20 mph.

Most of the Boston Area remains under extreme drought conditions
according to the National Drought Monitor. Total rain deficit on the
year is 11.54 inches below normal. The trees and plants up here are
showing definite signs of distress, with the trees releasing leaves
early and flowers withering.

The high so far today is 92F, which is 12 degrees above the normal
maximum of 80F. The low since midnight is 70F, which is 8 degrees
below the normal minimum of 62F.
