MILTON, MASSACHUSETTS
ELEVATION 635 FEET, 10 MILES SSW OF BOSTON, MA

ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME (EST)
SUNRISE: 0451E
SUNSET: 1845E
SEASONABLE TEMPERATURES AND DRY AIR CONTINUE….
Mainly sunny skies have been the theme today with only a few
cumulus and altocumulus adding some decoration to the sky. A
thin layer of cirrus has also moved into the area, however
plenty of sunshine has still been seen.
With the sun, temperatures have warmed into the low 80s despite
a freshening sea-breeze developing this afternoon. The dew point
has dipped from the mid 50s to the upper 40s early this
afternoon adding Canadian comfort to the air.
Visibility has been excellent all day thanks to the dry Canadian
air mass in place. We’ve been able to see upwards to 70 miles!
Wind has been rather light all morning, only beginning to freshen
this afternoon as the sea-breeze kicked in as noted above. The
average speed for the day so far has been around 9mph, with a peak
gust of 21mph thus far.
Most of the Boston Area is under extreme drought conditions
according to the National Drought Monitor. Total rain deficit on the
year is 10.94 inches below normal.
The high so far today is 83F, which is 2 degrees above the normal
maximum of 81F. The low since midnight is 61F, which is 2 degrees
below the normal minimum of 63F.
