COOL WITH A STEADY EASTERLY BREEZE AFTER A GOOD RAIN DAY….
Today we observed mostly cloudy skies with a fog that broke up
very shortly after the 7 A.M. observation. That was the moisture
left over from yesterday, where 1.06 inches of rain fell since
7 A.M. This leaves us with an event total of 2.40 inches!
That’s all of the rain for this month so far, giving us a
1.69 inch surplus in comparison to the running total normal
rainfall. The yearly total is boosted to 25.98 inches, bringing
the deficit down to 9.34 inches. It will be interesting to see
how the drought monitor responds, and it’s updated tomorrow.
Visibility reached almost 70 miles at 1 P.M., starting from
20 miles this morning. The summit is experiencing a cool
easterly breeze around 10 mph.
The high so far today is 69F, which is 7 degrees below the
normal maximum of 76F. The low since midnight is 57F, which is
2 degrees below the normal minimum of 59F.
