BLUE HILL METEOROLOGICAL OBSERVATORY
MILTON, MASSACHUSETTS
ELEVATION 635 FEET, 10 MILES SSW OF BOSTON, MA

DAILY DISCUSSION AND CLIMATE SUMMARY
WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 2, 2015
ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME

ABOVE NORMAL HEAT RETURNS
AFTER BRIEF COOL DOWN MONDAY

Yesterday’s maximum temperature of 81F somewhat close,
but still warmer than the daily normal maximum for the
beginning of September at 76F. Winds off the ocean yesterday
helped to keep temperatures somewhat surpressed as heat
works its way back in today.

A steady breeze from the SW this morning along with humidity
building overnight have allowed temperatures to climb through
the morning. Thin layers of smoke and fog, along with haze
kept visibility to just 10 miles at this morning’s 7:00 AM EST
observation even with no visible clouds in the sky.
