BLUE HILL….
We observed a visibility decrease from 85 miles this morning
to 25 miles this afternoon due to fog. Skies were overcast,
and light rain began to fall around 9 A.M. By 1 P.M., only
0.02 inches were measured. Wind has been strong and northeasterly,
with frequent gusts above 20 mph. The highest gust so far today
is around 37 mph.
The strong cold air advection and cloudy skies have kept temperatures
well below seasonal averages. The high so far today is 55F, which is
8 degrees below the normal high of 63F. The low this morning was 52F,
which is 6 degrees above the daily normal minimum of 46F. This continues
the trend of higher than normal overnight temperatures and lower than
normal maximum temperatures seen this month.
