DAILY DISCUSSION AND CLIMATE SUMMARY
WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 31, 2018
ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME

A COOL AND DRY AUTUMN DAY WITH PRESSURE DROPPING
AND CLOUDS BUILDING THROUGHOUT THE DAY

The day began with clear skies and cold temperatures,
with the minimum temperature just breaking the freezing
point at 31.7 F during the morning hours today.
Pressure readings crested during the morning, with
the reversal of the pressure trend evident in the the
10 A.M. observation.  Coupled with falling pressure, cloud
activity has risen throughout the day with coverage trending
towards an overcast sky.  So far, daytime heating has been
significant, with a maximum temperature of 50 F reached by
the time of the 1 P.M. observation.  This value still remains
well below our seasonal average of 55 F, capping off a
colder than average October emphatically.
