LIGHT WINDS WITH DECREASING FOG IN THE AFTERNOON….

Fog persisted throughout the morning and finally clearing just before
the 1 P.M. observation.  The clearing enabled a visibility of
20 miles, a notable improvement from the 1/16 mile recorded during
the morning observations.  Winds remained light throughout the day,
with gentle northwesterly flow interspersed with calm moments.  This
is proved by our 10 A.M. observation, where a speed of 0 mph was
recorded.  Temperatures rose to 58F so far today, 7 degrees below
the daily average of 65F.  We recorded 0.88 inches of precipitation
this morning, evidence of last night’s heavy rain storms.
