MILTON, MASSACHUSETTS
ELEVATION 635 FEET, 10 MILES SSW OF BOSTON, MA
DAILY DISCUSSION AND CLIMATE SUMMARY
WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 29, 2014
ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME
FOG AND POOR VISIBILITY MOVE IN ALONG WITH
NEAR RECORD WARMTH
Downtown Boston, only 10 miles to the north, was only
somewhat visible during this morning’s 7:00 AM EST observation.
Fog, increased humidity and a southerly flow kept
conditions unseasonably warm last night with an overnight
low of 55F, compared with today’s norm of 39F.
Today’s daily record maximum of 74F, set in 1989, may
be at risk. A maximum of 73F was recorded at the 1:00 PM EST
observation, just one degree from tying the record.
Small cumulus were beginning to form during the observation
as well, which may reduce solar radiation.
