SKIES DARKEN AHEAD OF RAIN THIS AFTERNOON

A colorful sunrise was on tap this morning as the sun
quickly faded behind clouds at the 7:00 AM EST observation.
Steady and sometimes gusty winds from the E have consistently
been gusting into the 20 knot range with building altocumulus
and altostratus.

By the 1:00 PM EST observation light rain showers had begun
with a ragged and broken layer of stratocumulus and overcast
stratus. Visibility had been reduced to just 20 miles with
a trace of rain recorded by the observation. Temperatures had
reached a peak of 55F with winds still gusting from the ESE
in the 20 knot range.
