ABOVE AVERAGE TEMPERATURES CONTINUE, POSSIBLE RECORD HIGH MINIMUM

Even with the lingering fog, yesterday’s afternoon temperatures rebounded
quickly to a daily max of 74F, 14F above normal.  Today has been warmer
with the max. rising to 79F by 1:00PM EST.  This morning’s overnight low
of 64F will break the previous record of 63F for high minimum if temps
do not cool too quickly tonight.

Southwest winds have brought more humid air into the area.  Dew points
rose into the low 60s but had begun to decrease slightly by early
afternoon.  Winds have been moderate, averaging about 10 kts (12 MPH)
for the day so far.
