THE CHILLY AIR MASS REMAINS UNDER A MIX OF SUN AND CLOUDS….
A mix of sun and clouds has been the theme today with mid and upper
level clouds early this morning being replaced by low level diurnal
clouds by late morning into the afternoon.
The temperature is once again below normal today with readings
starting the day in the mid to upper 30s. They have only recovered
to the low to mid 50s early this afternoon, which is once again
below normal for the date. Dew point readings have been holding in
the mid 30s all day.
The wind has been busy again today with west-northwest to northwest
breeze averaging around 15mph for the day so far. Frequent gusts
continue to exceed 20mph throughout the day, with a peak gust thus
far of 32mph occurring just before 11:30am.
Visibility has excellent all day, holding at around 70-80 miles.
The maximum temperature so far today is 54F, which is 7 degrees
below the normal high of 61F. The minimum temperature since midnight
is 38F, which is 6 degrees below the normal low of 44F.
