ANOTHER COOL, CALM FALL DAY…

Clear skies this morning have given way to a broken cirrus
layer this afternoon. Aside from a light breeze and slightly
below normal temperatures, nothing particularly exciting has
occurred on the hill weather-wise today.

Temperatures began this morning in the low 30s, and have since
climbed into the upper 40s by early afternoon. The dew point
has remained nearly steady around 30F.

Winds have been light all day today, with an average speed of
only 7mph. The breeze has picked up a touch by the 1pm observation.
The peak gust so far occurred just after noon time, with a speed of
18mph. In terms of direction, winds began the morning out of the
north-northwest and have since backed to the southwest.

Visibility today is considerably improved over yesterday, remaining
nearly constant with a view of 60 miles to Mount Monadnock.

The maximum temperature so far today is 48F, which is 2 degrees
below the normal high of 50F. The minimum temperature since
midnight is 30F, which is 4 degrees below the normal low of 34F.
