OVERCAST SKIES WITH A FEW SNOW SHOWERS AS A WARM FRONT PUSHES
THROUGH….

A warm front pushing through the region today has spawned an
area of light snow showers. So far it has only manifested as
a few flakes on the Hill at the air mass overall is still on
the drier side. What we haven’t had a shortage of today is
cloud cover as it’s been overcast all day to this point.

Temperatures are gradually rising from the low 30s early this
morning to the low 40s early this afternoon. The dew point has
been holding in the upper 20s all day, indicative of the dry
air in place.

Winds have been fairly steady out of the southwest on average.
The average speed for the day so far is around 13mph. Gusts
have increased in frequency and intensity since the mid morning
hours. The peak gust so far is 32mph, which occurred around
12:15Pm.

Visibility started the day around 70 miles, but has decreased
to around 40 miles by late this morning thanks in part to the
snow showers and increasing haziness as warmer air overruns
the cooler air near the surface.

The maximum temperature so far today is 41F degrees, which is
10 degrees below the normal high of 51F. The minimum temperature
since midnight is 30F degrees, which is 5 degrees below the
normal low of 35F.
