FOGGY UNDERCAST LIFTS BY MID MORNING, THICK FOG
AND LIMITED VISIBILITY ON GREAT BLUE HILL

An impressively thick, yet shallow layer of fog
was present for this morning’s 7:00 AM EST observation
in all directions, leaving only Great Blue Hill, the Hancock
Building and Prudential Center above the fog. Shortly after,
the fog lifted and covered the hill limiting visibility
at times down to 1/16 of a mile and only 100 feet vertically.

Last night’s overnight low of 50F was just 2 degrees below
what should be our daily normal maximum of 52F for this
time of the year. Yesterday’s 24-hr average of 52F was
9 degrees above the norm.

scattered cirrus, inversion present in all direction with
dense fog below, estimated tops of 500 ft over city
