SOME LIGHT LIGHT RAIN, CLOUDY AND COOL AGAIN….
An overcast sky with occasional light rain has been
the theme here today. 0.01″ was deposited in the
gauge by 10a with an additional 0.13″ by 1pm.
With the lack of sunshine, the mercury is struggling
to rise. It took until 10a to notch the 50 degree mark
and only a mere 2 degree increase since then by early
afternoon.
Speaking of temperatures, the 10-day average temperature
departure is -4.6F…a notable turnaround from the very
mild start to spring!
Visibility is limited today due to a low ceiling, rain, and
fog. Max distance was witnessed at the 7a observation at
40 miles, but has since slipped to a measly 1/8 mile.
Winds are light and variable with the direction mainly out
of the SE. In fact, we saw calm winds for 2 consecutive
hours from 10a to 12p.
The high so far today is 52F, which is 12 degrees below the
normal maximum of 64F. The low since midnight is 45F, which
equals the normal minimum of 45F.
