SUMMER-LIKE WEATHER WITH VERY WARM AND HUMID CONDITIONS UNDER SUNNY
SKIES….

There has been no shortage of sunshine today as the sky has been
mainly clear all day, save for a few clouds off in the distance at
various points during the day. With a warm air mass in place,
temperatures had no problem rising rapidly this morning.

Readings skyrocketed from the mid 50s early this morning to 80 by
the 10am observation. Temperatures have continued to rise with
readings in the mid-upper 80s early this afternoon. This is a good
15-20 degrees above normal for the date. The dew point is the near
the humid category with values in the upper 50s to low 60s. A taste
of early summer for sure!

The wind has been generally steady today to this point with a
southwest to west-southwest wind averaging around 11mph. The
peak gust thus far for the day is 24mph, which occurred just
before 11:30am.

Visibility has been limited today to 30-35 miles due to mostly
pollen induced haziness, but the higher humidity levels is also
contributing to the added particulate matter in the air.

The maximum temperature so far today is 87F degrees, which is 19
degrees above the normal high of 68F. The minimum temperature since
midnight is 56F degrees, which is 6 degrees above the normal low
of 50F.
