SUNNY AND BRISK CONDITIONS ON BLUE HILL TODAY…

Plenty of sunshine today at Blue Hill with considerably cooler
temperatures than yesterday. The smoke layer from the wildfires
in Alberta, Canada have moved from our area, however, the pollen
continues to reduce visibility.

Temperatures have been below normal today, as of this afternoon
we still haven’t reached 60F. Relative humidity has continued
to drop throughout the day as well with dew points, making for
very dry air. This has resulted in the region being under a Red
Flag Warning due to the high fire danger.

The wind has been relatively productive today, with an average
speed of around 20mph for the day so far. Gusts have been
exceeding 30mph at times.

Visibility remains to be limited to 40 miles today, despite the
clear skies and low dew points, primarily because of the pollen
in the air.

The high so far today is 59F, which is 8 degrees below our
normal max temperature of 67F. Our low since midnight is 46F,
which is 3 degrees below our normal low temperature of 49F.
