WARMING TREND FINALLY GETTING UNDERWAY DURING TODAY
TEMPERATURES RISING INTO 40’S AFTER MAX. OF 35F YESTERDAY

A warming trend began today during this cold month of March.
Out of a total of 11 days colder than normal so far this
month, 8 have been in double digits below normal.  The
overall average for the month is 4.5 degrees colder than
the normal.

Precipitation has certainly been lacking this month following an above
average January and February. With more than half of March gone a
precipitation deficit of 2.44 inches of liquid has now brought the total
precipitation for this year down to -0.77 inch below the norm.

inversion WNW, Mt. Wachusett faintly visible, estimated top
of inversion 4 hundred over city N, patchy thin fog below
the inversion
