COLD AND CLEAR DAY AFTER STORM

Temperatures remained below normal and freezing today with a high of
27F at the 1:00 PM EST observation. Normal high for today is 44F.
Humidity fell throughout the day but visibility remained consistent
at 70 miles. Skies were clear in the morning with broken cumulus in
the afternoon. Winds were moderate and out of the SW but did not surpass
the peak gust from yesterday of 52 kts (60 MPH) at 1:12 PM EST.

Yesterday’s total storm snowfall through today’s 7:00AM EST observation
measured 7.2 inches, which breaks the previous daily snowfall record of
6.7 inches set in 1958. Liquid precip. measured 2.13 inches.
