ABUNDANT SUNSHINE AND ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES TODAY…
Sunshine has been the theme today with only a few high thin cirrus
clouds floating by. With above normal temperatures and a light wind,
it is one of the more pleasant days we’ve seen in a while.
Temperatures have reached the mid 50s early this afternoon, which is
around 10 or so degrees above the expected high temperature for this
date. The air mass does remain quite dry however, as the dew point has
remained in the low to mid 20s all day.
The wind has been quite light, especially as we approached the
afternoon hours. It has also become quite variable. The average speed
for the day so far is around 8mph, but the last 3 hours or so have
only averaged at around 3-4mph. The peak gust for the day occurred
back in the wee hours of the morning with a value of around 25mph.
Visibility has been great again today, with the view at 70 miles!
The maximum temperature so far today is 54F degrees, which is
11 degrees above the normal high of 43F. The minimum temperature
since midnight is 33F degrees, which is 7 degrees above the normal
low of 26F.
