MORE CLOUDS THAN SUN WITH SHOWERS AROUND THIS MORNING, STILL HUMID…

The day started off with more showers which lingered around into
the mid morning hours. It’s been dry since, but clouds have mainly
been the theme with only some splashes of sunshine from time to
time. Rainfall this morning amounted to 0.16″. No thunder was
observed here on the Hill today, but areas to the south had loud
thunder early this morning. We’ll see if we get a thunderstorm
later this afternoon or evening.

The temperature has gradually warmed into the mid to upper 70s
this afternoon. Dew points have been hanging out in the upper
60s all day, so it continued to feel sticky out there.

The wind started off on the lighter side this morning, but has
since picked up this afternoon. The average speed so far for the
day is around 11mph. The peak gust so far is just under 30mph,
occurring just before the 1pm observation.

Visibility has been limited all day, generally running 20 miles
or less.

The maximum temperature so far today is 77F, this is 2 degrees
below the normal high of 79F. The minimum since midnight is 66F,
which is 4 degrees above the normal low of 62F.
