DRY AIR FOLLOWS EVENING THUNDERSTORMS
Thunderstorms north of Boston and west of the observatory
passed through the area last evening. Areas north of
Boston saw hail as large a 0.90 inches in diameter, but
only 0.11 in. of rain fell at BHO. Winds were gusting up
to 35 MPH.
High pressure and dry air has made today quite pleasant.
Skies were clear most of the morning. Scattered cumulus
appeared in the afternoon. Visibility remained at 70 miles.
By 1:00PM, temperatures had reached 74F and dew points had
fallen into the upper 40s.
