HOT AND MUGGY WITH MIX OF SUN AND CLOUDS….

It has turned out to be another hot day today, and despite
the rising dew point temperature, a steady breeze is making the heat
more tolerable. Mid and high level clouds filled a good portion
of the sky through the morning, with cumulus making an appearance
by the early afternoon.

Last night remained on the warmer side, as we only briefly cooled
to 69F early this morning. Thereafter, temperatures rose quickly into
the low 80s by 10am, and have continued to slowly climb into the
mid 80s since. The southwest flow is advecting some moisture in our
direction, as the dew point has reached the upper 60s.

The wind has been steady today, with an average speed of 14mph out
of the southwest and now the west-southwest. The peak gust to this point is
28mph, taking place at 2:31am this morning.

The visibility has been fair, holding at 30 miles due to haziness.

The maximum temperature so far today is 87F, which is 8 degrees
above the normal high of 79F. The minimum temperature since
midnight is 69F, which is 8 degrees above the normal low of 61F.
