SEVERE STORMS SPARE GREAT BLUE HILL, STRIKE
THROUGHOUT THE REGION
Tornado warnings were issued both on the North Shore
and south toward the Rhode Island border, while the summit
of Great Blue Hill was largely spared. Gusty winds and a
couple brief showers came throughout the day, while storms
developed in other areas. Only 0.01 inches of new rain was
reported at the station, bringing our annual precipitation
deficit to 3.28 inches below normal.
Drier air worked in overnight after the passing cold front,
bringing an overnight minimum of 62F. Northwesterly winds
have brought much improved visibility as well, with visibility
topping 70 miles this morning.
