ANOTHER CLOUDY, BUT WARM AND HUMID DAY WITH SCATTERED LIGHT SHOWERS….

We started the day in the clouds with very dense fog and very
limited visibility. The fog did eventually lift, but the clouds
stuck around for the balance of the day. Scattered light showers
were occasionally moving through the area through the overnight
and into the mid to late morning hours. 0.13″ of rain was measured
overnight, but only a trace has fallen since 7am this morning.

Temperatures have made it to the low to mid 70s once again despite
the cloud cover. The dew point has been creeping upwards through
the day as well, from the mid 60s early this morning to the upper
60s to near 70 by early this afternoon. This is getting very close
to oppressive levels and is setting the stage for a very hot and
humid day tomorrow.

Winds have been steady all day, averaging around 8-9mph. It has
been generally out of the south-southwest all day as well. The peak
gust for the day so far is 22mph, which occurred just after 12:30am.

As mentioned, the visibility was very limited early this morning
with a view (if you want to call it that) of only 1/16th of a mile.
As the fog lift, the view improved markedly to around 30-40 miles
by late this morning and early this afternoon.

The maximum temperature for today is 74F degrees, which is 2
degrees below the normal high of 76F. The minimum temperature
since midnight is 63F degrees, which is 4 degrees above the
normal low of 59F.
