ONCE AGAIN OVERCAST AND COOL WITH A FEW LIGHT RAIN SHOWERS….

Today has featured plenty of cloud cover with periods of light
rain showers occurring off and on since the predawn hours. A
total of 0.09″ of rain has been measured, 0.07″ of which fell
before 7am, and the remaining 0.02″ falling in the hour prior
to the 1pm observation.

Thanks to the overcast skies, temperatures are once again being
held down, spending most of the day so far in the 60s, but did
briefly reach 70F between 12-1pm. The dew point remains on the
higher side with values in the mid 60s, so it does still feel
a bit muggy out there today.

The wind has been on the light side once again with an average
speed of around 6mph. The peak gust for the day so far is 16mph,
which occurred just after 4am this morning.

Visibility has been limited today of course with the thin fog
and rain shower activity. The view has generally been around
20-30 miles, but has briefly been as low as 1/4 mile during
the predawn hours.

The maximum temperature so far today is 70F, which is 12
degrees below the normal high of 82F. The minimum temperature
since midnight is 64F, which is equal to the normal low of 64F.
